Word limit in questions, wherever specified, should be adhered to.

Write one essay from each section in 1000-1200 words. Contents of answer are more important than their length. All questions carry equal 125 marks.
Section A
- Attitude… is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It is attitude that determines the progress of the country, not the talent or skill.
- Indian Society is best called as changing rather than progressing or developing.
Section B
- One can be traditional in outlook but modern in thinking, but cannot be modern in outlook and traditional in thinking
- The greatest sign of an intellectual mind is to be able to engage a thought without agreeing to it
