Constructed on 90 acres of land in Rajgir, the ancient city in Bihar, with an investment of ₹7,400 million, the International Sports Complex stands as a unique entity within the country, offering simultaneous training in 24 distinct sports disciplines. It provides athletes with comprehensive facilities, including training grounds, accommodations, and medical care, all within a single campus.
This expansive sports complex serves as a transformative resource for aspiring athletes within the state, elevating Bihar’s standing on the national sporting landscape.
The main stadium features a seating capacity capable of accommodating approximately 50,000 spectators, while smaller stadiums can accommodate 10,000 spectators.
This academy transcends mere infrastructure, serving as a cornerstone in Bihar’s sporting future. Athletes will have access to internationally recognized scientific training, enhanced by state-of-the-art facilities encompassing an athletics track, football stadium, hockey turf, swimming pool, and a variety of other sporting disciplines. Notably, an international-standard cricket stadium forms an integral component of this complex, with its construction progressing expeditiously toward an anticipated completion in June 2025.
