First Omicron-Specific mRNA Vaccine
The Drug Controller General of India authorized GEMCOVAC-OM, a first-of-its-kind mRNA vaccine for the Omicron variant created by Gennova Biopharmaceuticals Ltd. of Pune, late on Monday. This comes a year after the business received approval for GEMCOVAC-19, the nation’s first COVID-19 m-RNA vaccine.

The distinctive selling point of GEMCOVAC-OM was that it could be stored in “regular” refrigerators because it was stable in a 2 to 8 degree Celsius range. Via the use of a “needle-free” PharmaJet device, the immunizations might be injected beneath the skin.
