  1. Ramappa temple, a 13th century engineering marvel named after its architect, Ramappa, was proposed by the government as its only nomination for the UNESCO World Heritage site tag for the year 2019.
  2. The iconic Ramappa Temple showcases the outstanding craftsmanship of the great Kakatiya dynasty.
  3. The listing decision was made on Sunday during the UNESCO World Heritage Committee’s 44th ongoing online session chaired from Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian, the same province where Quanzhou is located.
