This CEO is on a mission to create global citizens

With decades in the world of hedge funds and banking and his own experience of successfully transitioning to another country, Shivaz Rai, CEO of DU Digital Global, has made it his mission to help Indians emigrate and join the ranks of internationally mobile entrepreneurs.
“DU Digital has processed millions of applications for our client governments and is now on the cusp of an IPO. We are helping millions of Indians acquire global citizenship and permanent residency by investment through our other business vertical, Migrate World India. Our company assists them every step of the way on their journey to becoming internationally mobile entrepreneurs,” said Rai in a telephonic interview from his Dubai office.

DU Digital Global is a multi-million-dollar entity with over 27 offices across the world. ‘Golden visa’ Rai says enquiries for citizenship by investment or ‘golden visa’ have more than doubled during the pandemic.

Many High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) from India are now looking for attractive alternate citizenships in foreign countries like the US, UK and Canada and are exploring locations such as Portugal, Greece, Malta, Cyprus among other European countries.

“Over the last few months, we’ve witnessed a 40 per cent increase in inquiries from Indian citizens.

People have been reaching out to look at different options. As a Citizen by Investment partner, we take care of all end-to-end requirements for our clients to enable a completely smooth emigration process. We also work with the local authorised property brokers to ensure your investment adds value to your portfolio. Operating within the law of various countries, we offer complete assistance in all legal services. We do an extensive study of the market and after an in-depth evaluation of the region, we identify exciting possibilities for our clients and provide unique tailored services to cater to every client’s needs. Our extra efforts speed up the process,” said Rai.

Rai emigrated to Canada in the 90s as a teenager. After graduating from the University of Chicago, one of the top ten universities in the world, he began his financial career on Wall Street before moving on to other global financial capitals like Singapore and Dubai. After decades in the world of hedge funds and banking, he finally joined his father — eminent business tycoon Rajji Rai — in a family business that had been steadily growing over the years under his father’s patronage.
